This is me with Matt and Missy from the Fan Fest event back in 2003. This was definitely one of the highlights of the event. Missy and Matt were very friendly with all their fans and very down to earth. And Missy is even more beautiful in person, if that's possible!

I met Matthew Ashford once in Lubbock, Texas at a fan meet'n'greet. I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember the exact date, but I'm pretty sure it was 1991, give or take a few months. At the time I was living in Beaumont, Texas. As Texans know, it was quite a drive - we got there in about 9 hours or so - but it was the closest he was going to come to us. Richard Biggs Memorial "Show"

I had the pleasure of meeting Matt in March of 2005 at the Richard Biggs Memorial Show in Hollywood. I was SO excited that Matt was actually doing an appearance on the West Coast !I remember being so nervous the night before the event. I got up really early the day of the "show" and got ready, leaving my husband at the hotel. I tried to get him to come, but he wouldn't do it.

3 more days until I go see Urinetown! I'm excited to see Matt in a musical. I go on Sunday! i think he will be magnificent.

We were saying in chat how we would love to see him in even more musicals. He would be the BEST Professor Harold Hill and an even better Curly in Oklahoma....

I've decided to go to the opening night of Urinetown this Saturday. I wasn't going to go to opening night initially, because it's usually more crowded, and I wasn't sure I'd get to chat with Matt much, but if I don't go Saturday, I won't be able to go til October, and I would rather go sooner than later. That way I have time to see it again.

Well, I went to the studio today, and did deliver the baskets, but did not get to give them to Matt and Missy because they were on stage taping at the time. I have to say, though, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and helpful the NBC studio people were.

I pulled up to the main lot, and told the security guard I had a delivery for Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves. He asked if it was food, and I confirmed, so...

I read the Haines His Way site this morning and he mentioned that "a lot of Days of Our Lives fans" were in the audience of the show last night. Hrrumph! Someone should clarify for him that Matt fans and Days fans aren't quite the same thing; I suspect few who post here could legitimately describe themselves as Days fans any more. Oh, well. I gather the performance went well. Sounds like he's ditching the other...
