This past week, I've gotten back to a project that I'd abandoned during the school year, and that's trying to get our Library nice and orderly. I've been running 80sDays Johnson Family Clips through Windows Movie Maker, pulling off anything pertaining to Jack, and since Susie and Dusty gave me a key to the server, I've been able to upload them myself and put up the links and summaries. Diane has also been sending me fill-in clips, and working against TJDS, (big shout-out to Carol Vaughn who did an awesome job transcribing TJDS), our clip collection is getting more complete by the day. The clips I've been working with are all around the time frame of Steve & Kayla's first wedding, and the Harper is a serial killer reveal and its aftermath and can be found in the thread "Jack Learns He's Billy". Gosh this stuff was SO GOOD! Your heart just breaks for Jack as we watch his whole world unravel. Hope you enjoy them!

Eileen, a big
 for adding those clips. They are new to me. I just
finished watching them and they are heartbreaking--oh, when Harper rejects Jack in that last one, so sad!  . I just love, LOVE watching clips of old Jack--for me they make his later story
with Jennifer so much more meaningful. You can see why he would be drawn to her innocence after all the duplicity he's experienced. (How I miss the days of
character development.  ) Thanks for all your hard work!

Mucho Just wanted to add, in case some don't realize, that there has been other work in the library recently, too. We have been able to finally
link up the 1991 rape trial up through the wedding, so as the 'early Jack' clips come into place, we will really have the entirety of the Jack and
Jennifer story right up through the 1991 wedding! Karen will be adding beyond that; she's been busy at work, too. The entire first run is certainly
within our sights!!

Another round of And what Di says about clip summary writers is a good idea. I know that I find writing the summaries the hardest part when clipping so any help in that area
is much appreciated.

Thanks for all the !  I've actually been enjoying myself, lost in Jack heartbreak. Does that make me a weirdo?  The summaries
definitely are the biggest pain in the patootie, especially when you get so wrapped up in the clip, your fingers stop typing! But it's been fun and
I'm just so thrilled with what our Library has become and the way it's been such a team effort. Thanks go out to Tracy who got us rolling way back
when, 80sDays, Karen, Diane, Michelle, Yakov, Shari, Roz for her priceless VHS tapes, Kess, who just sent Di some original COD tapes, Jeani for her amazing DVD
project, Susie for clipping all the Haver stuff from the edits Sarah made from my original tapes, and of course Susie and Dusty for giving our clips a home.
 If I've missed anyone, I hope someone will let me know.

Does that make me a weirdo?Not if the stuff is really good. :) Then again, I've blown a few weekends away recently watching Jack and Jennifer clips so I'm not exactly 'objective' about getting lost in a great story. I haven't seen much of the Jack is Billy story. I'm saving that for after I finish the J&J clips up to the wedding. I am looking forward to it, however. I feel so lucky that so much of this has been preserved. Thanks to everyone who has made it possible.  |

What I'm finding, as I watch these Jack is Billy clips, is that you SEE what made Jack become the man that Jennifer met. That wounded man, who had so much heartbreak all at once, that the only way to protect himself was to keep all his feelings to himself. He had suffered so much rejection in such a short time, is it any wonder it took him forever to admit to his feelings for Jennifer? Jack's journey was really an incredible story, wonderfully written, and acted to perfection by Matt.

This is truly a wonderful site - as I have said many times. So much joy and friendship and collaboration and of course adoration for each other and
collectively as a group for Jack and Jennifer. I so much appreicate all of the hard work that has been done and continues to get done in the library. To show
ven more appreciation, I would like to help out in writing summaries. As one of the many talented fanfic writers here, I am hoping my summaries will do
justice. I am more than happy to take on any of the second run years. Just let me know what I can do to help - and to assist in the constant improvements
being made on this site!

I just had this thought of how cool it would be if Grace would pop in and start watching all of her dad's old clips, now that she's older and could
understand. I think she'd be quite blown away by what her dad is capable of, because I don't think any of his recent roles have had the same depth of
character that Jack did. Wouldn't that be funny to find a new J&J fan on here? LOL.
