Jake wants more sleep, sets back down on the couch.

Pulled into the living room, where others are present,

Beneath the layers, of boxes and paper,
is an object to bring, an expression of smiling.

With Jake freshly showered, the next to consider,

Jake is complacent, thinks Sam is too nervous,

Paulina, jolted back to reality, is now presented with a knock at the bedroom door. Jamie asks Paulina if she would like him to escort her down the aisle. Her answer is a resounding yes but as the conversation forges ahead, and Paulina thinks the matter is settled, Jamie throws a spanner in the works. He says he hasn't yet said he will do it, and Paulina must convince him Jake is the right man for her, before he will. Conflict abounding, Paulina asks Jamie to leave. She attempts to open the door, but it's locked. Hannah overhears their raised voices and then in moments, as Jake is suddenly banging on the door, it is evident Hannah went and spilled the beans as to what was going down. Once all is a little calmer, Rachel disperses the mob and spends a few moments chatting to Paulina alone...

The fainting wedding singer is tended to and helped along to the only air conditioned room in the church complex (The minister's study! ). Rachel ushers Hannah off to tell Paulina they are ready for her, and also Sam to fetch Jake, who seems to have wandered off. Sam finds Jake, but Jake prefers to take a detour to the bride's room. He's not the only one, Iris stops by there as well. The ceremony begins. Not long into the proceedings a figure appears at the door. Everyone's attention is caught as she momentarily halts the matrimonial happenings. With everyone comfortably seated back in the pews, and Marley seated next to Jamie, the ceremony proceeds. Declared man and wife, Jake and Paulina have now completed the first stage of their pact....
