Posts: 2097 07/15/08 2:42 PM Keeper of Our Clips	Tags : None I have a favour to ask of everyone, we are having some kind of attack on our server so could everyone please stay off it for the rest of the day? Posts: 2097 07/16/08 9:27 AM Keeper of Our Clips	Well what it means is Dusty's sister is in the middle of an ugly custody case with her exhusband. While they were married Dusty and he started a business together and work at the same place during the day, he has access to the server for business purposes. He decided to "pay us back" for not taking a side in the custody case, he thought we would go against his sister, we chose to stay neutral. Since he is a computer guy he launched a denial of service attack on the server and planted a virus which took out one of the harddrives. Everything is backed up, so it just means that the server is going to be down for a while, while we replace the drive and rebuild the redundant back up in the server. If you understood any of that, you are a step ahead of me. Eileen and Karen, If you could take a break from uploading to the server for a week or two while we work this out, Dusty will add your clips to the back up and get it all fixed. We have almost filled the terrabyte drive we had so we might change to bigger hard drives, so not uploading for a while will be very helpful. Thanks for the patience everyone. Hope you get everything up and running quickly. The best way to get most husbands to do something is to suggest that perhaps they're too old to do it.

No it isn't just the custody thing, he has always been a jerk but Dusty's sister begged him to let her husband(lets call him bob) help. I was the bob's boss before they married and I hated the idea but I wanted to help out Dusty's sister so we agreed. I don't think Dusty or I thought he could get access to the server but since the inlaws and my family live in the same house(due to their age and health) he had access to upload a virus to the server while he dropped kids off 2 days ago and then did the dos attack from work. I guess it doesn't much matter what is done is done, we will get it back up asap. I should add he is serious hot water at work for launching the attack on the server because bob is an idiot and didn't realise that all of Dusty's and his company are running tests on the server and he screwed his work and is being disciplined as we speak. Susie, I have to thank you and everyone else involve in allowing us to have access to JnJ episodes. Too bad there isn't a "return to sender" on that virus so that it can infect him. Just let us know when things are back up again.
