My mom and I went to an RBI benefit down in Irvine last night, and while Matt couldn't be there, Christina was, and she spent some time talking with me
at our table, and she was only too happy to share with me what Matt was doing. He couldn't be there last night because he's filming a movie in Iowa
for the next 3 weeks! She couldn't remember the name of it, but she said it's an independent film based on the life of a basketball coach in Iowa.
Matt of course plays the basketball coach, so that will be exciting if it ends up on video or in the theater, it's a nice starring role for Matt!. We
talked a little bit about The Unlikelys, and she's seen it and said it's really funny, and she said that Matt did some great work in the Excorcism
movie, although I admitted to it not being my kind of movie. I don't think it was Christina's either. LOL!
Scoop number 2! Anyyone close to Pittsburgh, Matt's coming your way in July! July 22 through August 3, Matt will be playing Frank Butler in the
Pittsburgh CLO production of Annie Get Your Gun. Christina said it was a perfect role for Matt, the singing was right in his range, and of course Frank Butler
is handsome and slightly arrogant, to which my mom replied with complete sarcasm, "oh, no, Matt couldn't pull that off!" LOL. Here's a link
to the show schedule to buy tickets:

I was struck again by just how sweet and friendly Christina is. And she looked amazing last night too! We talked about kids, and she commented on how Grace
just turned 16. Oh, Grace was there too, by the way, she looked adorable, she'd just gotten this new short haircut, it was really cute. And she's
starting to look more like Matt as she's getting older. Poor Emma was all bummed because it was an RBI benefit but she couldn't come because the
minimum age was 16 because it's a comedy club and they sell drinks.
The only bummer to the evening was that my mom and I drove the 2 hours to Irvine specifically to see Christopher Titus, who was the headline act, and he ended
up not showing up. If I'd known he wasn't coming, I would've gone to the benefit that was closer to me in a couple of weeks, but oh well.
Christina apologized after, she didn't know until the middle of the show that he wasn't coming, and I told her it was totally fine. The comics we saw
were funny, and it was more about RBI anyways. It was just a little disappointing, because apparently I bought the best seats in the house, and they put us
right on the table at the stage. That would have been fun to see him so close. We got heckled by the comedians of course, but it was fun. Grace commented to
me after that we were brave to sit up there. LOL!
So, all in all, it was a fun evening out, and I got to spend some time chatting with Christina, who I enjoy talking with as much as Matt. Oh, and I asked her
for a picture. I told her, "I have so many pics with Matt, but never one with you." So here's our pic last night:
I felt like a reporter because I text messaged all the details to my email so I wouldn't forget. LOL. I told my mom I was "phoning in" my
assignment.

Lovely picture of you and Christina. You look fabulous and I love your dress!
Christina sounds lovely, but then I knew she would be. She seems to be the
perfect accompaniment for our Mr. Ashford. As Miss Leela said you look great and I'm glad you and your Mom had such a nice time. Once again, thanks for
the scoop!
